Using the Flash
Set the camera to wireless flash mode when using an external flash in
combination with the built-in flash.

Remove the external flash unit after the channel is set on
the camera, and place it at the desired location.

Press the four-way controller (3).
The [Flash Mode] screen appears.

Select r and press the 4
button.
The camera is ready to take a picture.
The channel for the built-in flash is
displayed in the viewfinder and on the
LCD panel. The factory default setting is
CH1.

Press the E button.

Confirm that both flashes are fully charged, and then take
a picture.
Wireless Shooting Using a Combination of the Built-in
Flash and an External Flash Unit
r cannot be set when the exposure mode is set to B (Green).
When the drive mode is set to i (Remote Control (3s delay)), d (Mirror
Lock-up) or e (Mirror Lock-up + Remote Control), or the lens aperture is not
set to the s position, r cannot be selected.
