Splitting motion picture takes
- 161 -
A single motion picture take can be split into 2 parts. This is convenient when you want to
keep just the necessary scenes, or if you wish to delete unnecessary scenes to increase
free space on your card, such as when traveling.
Select [Video Divide] in the [Playback] menu
• For the setting procedures of the menu. (→25)
Select the motion picture take to split with cursor buttons and
then press [MENU/SET]
Press at where you want to split a motion picture take to
pause it
Press
• A confirmation screen is displayed. Select [Yes] with
cursor buttons, and then press [MENU/SET].
The original motion picture take that was split is not
retained, i.e. it is replaced by the 2 separate parts.
During splitting, do not turn off the camera or remove the card or battery. If you do so,
the motion picture may be deleted.
Splitting a motion picture take that was recorded in [MP4] changes the order of
the pictures. It is recommended to display with [Calendar] (Calendar Playback) or
[Filtering Play].
It may not be possible to split motion picture takes that were recorded with a different
camera.
Very short motion picture takes cannot be split.
